Hellbent Skateshop
A skate shop and meeting place in central Maastricht.
About the business
Sven has run Hellbent from a small Wyckerbrugstraat unit for four years. The shop sells boards, trucks, wheels, and apparel, and hosts weekly meetups. A larger space two blocks away has opened up and he wants to take it, double the floor, and build a small indoor mini ramp.
The founder

Sven Janssen, 34
Sven managed skate shops in Rotterdam for a decade before moving home to Maastricht. Hellbent has been profitable since year two, growing out of its own margin.
The ask
Funding goal: € 25.000
- Lease deposit and first 3 months rent€ 9.000
- Mini ramp build€ 7.500
- Additional stock€ 6.000
- Reopening campaign€ 2.500
Projected returns
Projections, not guarantees. See risks below.
What GrowthShare brings
Lease negotiation review, VAT and bookkeeping for the move, opening campaign marketing.
Risks and what happens if it fails
Retail is sensitive to local foot traffic. Hellbent has been profitable for two years but the larger lease is a step up in fixed cost.
If the business cannot meet its commitments, backers may receive less than they pledged or nothing at all. GrowthShare will work to recover the principal where possible.
Updates from the founder
Lease signed, keys arrive next week
We finalised the lease for the Brusselsestraat unit yesterday. Build out begins as soon as funding closes. Thanks to everyone who has pledged so far.
