Bramen Bakery
A neighbourhood bakery rebuilt around sourdough and seasonal grain.
About the business
Lotte trained in Copenhagen and Antwerp before returning home to take over an old bakery on Markt. She uses Limburg grain from a mill in Born and runs the shop with one part time staff member.
The founder

Lotte Vermeer, 29
Lotte took over the lease from a retiring baker in 2024. Weekend demand outstrips supply by midday. She wants to grow capacity before opening a second shopfront in Heerlen.
The ask
Funding goal: € 40.000
- Deck oven€ 18.000
- Walk in proofing cabinet€ 8.000
- Two part time roles for 6 months€ 10.000
- Working capital€ 4.000
Projected returns
Projections, not guarantees. See risks below.
What GrowthShare brings
Hiring and payroll setup, tax structuring for a second location, brand and packaging refresh.
Risks and what happens if it fails
Food businesses run on thin margins and a new oven is a meaningful fixed cost. Demand is the constraint, not the question.
If the business cannot meet its commitments, backers may receive less than they pledged or nothing at all. GrowthShare will work to recover the principal where possible.
Updates from the founder
Grain partnership confirmed
The mill in Born has agreed to supply us with a dedicated seasonal allocation. This locks in the supply side as we scale weekend production.
